Banka is a district in the Bhagalpur division of Bihar, carved out of Bhagalpur district in 1991. Located along the Chandan river, Banka is known for its natural beauty, forested hills, and hardworking people. The district has a rich history and is surrounded by the Jharkhand border, giving it a distinct cultural identity.
